Visit by German Theatre Company
On Wednesday, 21st January the Onatti Theatre Company came to Colton Hills to perform their play 'Nichts zum Anziehen' entirely in German. Year 10 and Year 11 pupils studying German to GCSE watched the play, along with some Year 9 pupils.
About the play
The story took an hilarious look at two love-struck German teenagers, Jessica and Stefan, as they both got ready for that all important first date. What should they say? Where should they go? What should they wear!
Their first proper date could be a perfect night or an embarrassing disaster. They both had less than one hour to get ready and prepare for their nerve racking evening.
During their preparation both Jessica and Stefan experienced stress, apprehension, fear, excitement, hysteria and panic!
The stage was split in two. One half was Jessica's bedroom and the other half was Stefan's room. The audience watched them both getting ready together. This made the play very entertaining to watch and very visual.
The play contained lots of language included in the GCSE German course, which meant pupils really benefited from watching the play as well as enjoying it enormously.
