GCSE A level Examination Results 2016

Colton Hills Sixth Form students are celebrating excellent A’ Level results!

Colton Hills Community School students are celebrating the success of both their academic A’ Level and vocational A’Level results.

In recent years, our track record of success has attracted growing numbers of students to Colton Hills Sixth Form. This summer we have seen the largest number of students with a record number of entries receiving wonderful examination results.

Amongst our many successes, special mention must be made of:

Bakshinderjit Johal, who is the fifth daughter from her family to

succeed at Colton Hills School. She has gained two A* grades in

Biology and RE and an A grade in Chemistry and is now going to

                                                                                Birmingham University to read Dentistry.

Arbinder Singh who gained three A* grades in Geography,

Business Studies and  Applied Science and an A in RE,  will read

                                                                                International Law at Birmingham University

Simran Kaur Mann who gained A grades in Biology,

Chemistry and RE will study Pharmacy.

Vinay Klare, who gained A* in Business Studies,

A grades in Maths and Physics and a B in Chemistry

will study Chemical Engineering at Birmingham

We are especially pleased with our Geography results

which was the first time we delivered this subject at A level and  89% of the students achieved A* - B. In RE, 95% of students gained an A*-C.

Results in Vocational subjects for many years have been very good but this year they are outstanding.

Headteacher, Alberto Otero said,

“We are extremely pleased with the excellent sixth form results this year, which further validate our Good rating in our last Ofsted Inspection. Our sixth form students worked very hard to achieve these results and deserve every success as they move on to the next stage of their careers. We, as a staff team, are very proud of them and of their many contributions to school life and wish them well for the future. I congratulate everyone who has contributed to the on-going success and year on year improvements at Colton Hills Community School”.
