GCSE Examination Results 2016

Congratulations to our students on their success with this year’s GCSE examination results!

Following on from our good ‘A’ Level results last week that saw all students get to the university of their choice, Colton Hills students have once again had good reason to celebrate.

Many students achieved very good results and two students achieved outstanding results. We congratulate Dalvir Mann who gained 5 A* grades, 3 A grades and a B grade and Liliana Nascimento who gained 8 A grades and 2 B grades.

There has been a ten percentage point increase in the number of students gaining a grade C or above in Maths and English to 56%. We are also proud once again that 20% of our students achieved the government’s prestigious English Baccalaureate (EBACC). These students gained A*-C grades in the following suite of subjects: English, Mathematics, a Modern Foreign Language, a Humanity (Geography or History) and at least two Sciences.

Headteacher, Alberto Otero said, ‘I would like to congratulate everyone who has contributed to the on-going success at Colton Hills Community School, in particular our students. Our success is grounded in the solid relationships fostered at this school, the dedication of all our staff and the support of our parents.  The governors and I would like to thank parents, staff and students.'
