GCSE A Level Examination Results 2020

Colton Hills Community School students are celebrating success in their GCSE’s.

Mel Walker and Stephen Blower, Co-Headteachers said,

“Our students have had an incredibly challenging year, but this should not detract from their success today. They have worked extremely hard to achieve some fantastic results, and we could not be more proud of them. The cohort of 2020 will never be forgotten, but this is not because of the pandemic – it is because of the great commitment that they showed to their education, and the superb young people they have become.”

Special congratulations go to Sonata Mieliauskaite, who achieved straight 9’s. She will be continuing her study at the Sixth Form where she will be taking Physics, Maths, Further Maths, and Art, with the hopes of becoming an architect.

Other notable successes include Gurleen Kaur and Simran Randhawa who both achieved 9 and 8 grades across the board.

Many of the students are looking forward to joining Colton Hills Sixth Form in September and we can’t wait to welcome them back, and of course we wish every one of our students the very best in the next stage of their lives.

Headteacher, Alberto Otero said,

“Congratulations to all of our students who have done so well with their results. Even in this difficult time they have remained committed to their schoolwork and have shown great resilience. I would also like to express a note of thanks to the wonderful teachers and support staff at the school who have had to adapt to new ways of working and teaching, and to our parents and care givers who have had to juggle home schooling alongside the other challenges that COVID-19 has brought.”
