2026 A Level/BTEC Results Day

There was a real sense of celebration at Colton Hills this week as students opened their A Level and Vocational results and achieved an exceptional set of outcomes, with strong performance across a wide range of subjects and a number of remarkable individual successes.

Our Year 13s have achieved another year of impressive set of academic results! We are also celebrating another exceptional year of vocational results, with a 6% increase in Distinction* grades, and an exceptional 60% of all BTEC grades awarded at Distinction*–Distinction level. Among the stand-out achievers is Isha, who secured three A* and one Distinction* in Italian, English Literature, Economics and IT, and will go on to study Law at University of Birmingham. Harvir achieved three A grades in Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics, and will go on to study Medicine at University of Birmingham.

Equally inspiring is Manrose, whose determination and perseverance have led to an exceptional triple D*D*D* in Business and IT, which puts her in the top 1.5% of the country. She has secured a place at Birmingham City University to study Digital Marketing. Their success is a powerful reminder that resilience defines this cohort.

 

A significant number of students have also secured places at top universities, including Russell Group institutions such as University of Birmingham and University of Exeter.

 

Headteacher, Ms Hunter commented: “Beyond the grades, what stands out most is the resilience and character our students have shown - they leave us well-prepared to make a positive impact in the future.”

 

Today’s success also comes at an exciting time in the school’s journey. Colton Hills is entering a period of growth, with plans to expand over the next two years, creating enhanced facilities and opportunities for even more students to benefit from its thriving learning environment. This expansion reflects both rising demand and the school’s continued commitment to delivering high-quality education.
